This is just to make everyone aware that Arthur Hatton is a SCENT FREE school. Due to severe allergies to different scents and smells, like cologne, perfume, air fresheners we would ask that you please not allow your child to wear any fragrances to school. As well as yourself when coming into the school.

Student Transfers for 2012/2013

Requests for student transfers that will commence in September will be accepted starting March 1, 2012 and ending at 12:00 noon on September 1, 2012. All submissions

Kindergarten Registration

Kamloops/Thompson School District Kindergarten registration for September 2012 will be held on Monday - Thursday, March 5^th – 8th, 2012. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, Care Card and proof of residential address to your neighbourhood school between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon or 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on these dates.

For parents wishing to register children in the following schools of choice:

Beattie School of the Arts or Bert Edwards Science and Technology School, Montessori at Aberdeen Elementary School, International Baccalaureate and for Kindergarten or Grade One in French Immersion Schools registration will take place at these schools on Monday - Thursday, February 27^th - March 1^st, 2012. Please bring your child’s birth certificate, Care Card and proof of residential address to the school between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 noon or 1:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. on these dates. 

To be eligible for attendance in September 2012, a student must be five years of age by December 31, 2012.

On February 7, 2012, Safer Internet Day, countries around the world will be promoting safer and more responsible use of online technology and mobile phones, especially among children and young people.

In Canada, the Canadian Centre for Child Protection (www.protectchildren.ca) has created a unique, one-stop Internet safety website – The Door that’s Not Locked (www.thedoorthatsnotlocked.ca) – to help parents, teachers and anyone else with children in their lives learn about ways to keep kids safe on the Internet.
